“THE GREATEST WINE? THE ONE THAT YOU’LL REMEMBER.”: THIRD EDITION OF ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL WINE IN MODERATION DAY

PRESS RELEASE - Brussels, 05/11/2025 – Following the success of the first two editions, Wine in Moderation is delighted to announce the third annual International Wine in Moderation Day, taking place worldwide on November 8th, 2025.

This global initiative continues under the unifying theme: “The greatest wine? The one that you’ll remember” – reminding wine lovers everywhere that the true joy of wine lies in moderation, appreciation, and memorable moments.

On 8 November, wine enthusiasts across the globe will once again be invited to celebrate wine culture while raising awareness of the importance of responsible enjoyment. Organised by the WiM Association, the International Wine in Moderation Day is designed to engage consumers, professionals, and communities through activities that highlight both wine’s rich heritage and the value of mindful drinking.

The campaign’s message is simple but powerful: wine should be savoured, not over-consumed. Lasting enjoyment comes not from excess, but from meaningful experiences that create memories worth remembering.

This third edition is set to be the biggest yet. National Coordinators and Supporters are preparing a wide range of activities across participating countries, including digital campaigns, local events, press outreach, and training initiatives – each tailored to their communities but united by the same call for moderation.

Sandro Sartor, President of Wine in Moderation, said: “After two successful editions, we are very happy to launch the third International Wine in Moderation Day. Each year, we see growing engagement and enthusiasm from both wine professionals and consumers. Our mission remains clear: to empower people to make responsible choices all year long when enjoying wine and learn more about the history and culture wine has to offer. We look forward to seeing even more participation this year, as we continue to spread the message that the best wine is the one you will remember – enjoyed in moderation.”

The campaign will run throughout this week, peaking on November 8th, with each country bringing its own unique initiatives to the celebration.
