Wine in Moderation takes part in the first OIV SCOPE Forum in Dijon

On 20–21 October, the Wine in Moderation Secretariat participated in the first edition of the OIV SCOPE Forum, a newly launched platform for dialogue bringing together 150 participants from OIV Member States, intergovernmental organisations, and the private sector. The Forum aims to foster discussion and collaboration on the key challenges facing the global wine sector.

The event opened with a plenary session featuring high-level representatives of international organisations who shared global perspectives on the economy and trade. The second day of the Forum was dedicated to three thematic working sessions focusing on sustainability, trade, and culture, areas that lie at the heart of the wine sector’s current and future priorities.

Wine in Moderation was proud to see several of its members actively contributing to these discussions. Marzia Varvaglione (CEEV) participated in the panel on trade, addressing the challenges and uncertainties of the current global trading environment, while Patricio Parra (Vinos de Chile) joined the sustainability panel, which explored the three pillars of sustainability: environmental, economic, and social.

As a longstanding Observer of the OIV, Wine in Moderation continues to strengthen its collaboration with the Organisation. In particular, the Secretariat looks forward to further engaging with the OIV on initiatives related to sustainability and culture, two areas where shared values and objectives offer great potential for impact.
