Social responsibility at the heart of Barcelona Wine Week 2026

Wine in Moderation once again took part in Barcelona Wine Week 2026 (2-4 February), alongside the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV) and Fundación para la Investigación del Vino y la Nutrición (FIVIN), promoting a sustainable wine culture based on moderate consumption as part of a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The fair served as an important platform to highlight the sector’s commitment to social responsibility, engage directly with wineries and professionals, and introduce the new online Responsible Service Training on responsible wine service and consumption. The visit of Spain’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, further underscored the strong institutional support for a model of moderate and responsible drinking reinforcing the long-term future of the wine sector.

Barcelona Wine Week once again provided valuable visibility for the programme, with numerous wineries and partners visiting the stand and collecting access codes for the newly launched online Responsible Service Training.
