Wine in Moderation brings its message to the European Parliament

Wine in Moderation brings its message to the European Parliament

Wine in Moderation will be present at an upcoming conference (26-28 March 2026) hosted at the European Parliament by MEPs Esther Herranz Garcia and Eric Sargiacomo. The event will bring together a wide range of stakeholders from across the wine value chain, alongside representatives from European institutions, international organisations, and the legal and academic communities.

Organised by the International Wine Law Association (AIDV), the conference provides a platform for dialogue on the evolving regulatory, societal, and policy context surrounding wine.

On this occasion, Secretary General Nadia Frittella will present the Wine in Moderation programme, highlighting why its role is more important than ever for both the sector and society. In a context of increasing attention to sustainability, and responsible consumption, initiatives that promote moderation and informed choices are key.

The presentation will outline Wine in Moderation’s core principles, mission, and message, as well as its structure and collaborative approach. It will also showcase the programme’s main areas of action—education, communication, self-regulation, and science—which together support a sustainable culture of wine consumption.

By contributing to this high-level discussion at the European Parliament, Wine in Moderation continues to engage with public stakeholders, reinforcing responsibility as a shared value and an essential element for the future of the sector.
